The musicians at St. Luke’s seek to honor God’s presence through joyful, reverent worship and try to encourage all members of the congregation to do the same. At our 9:30 service hymns, chants, psalms, anthems and organ music form an integral part of the liturgy. The music is chosen to reflect the scriptures and enhance our journey through the liturgical year. The Adult Choir takes the primary leadership role for this service, while the Children’s and Handbell Choirs participate approximately once a month. At times, liturgies are enriched by guest instrumentalists. Besides offering great music every Sunday morning, we offer a number of special musical services throughout the year such as Choral Evensong, Taize Evening Prayer, Lessons & Carols, Tenebrae, and the Great Vigil of Easter. New members are always welcome in any of our choirs.

Adult Choir:
    The Adult Choir, led by Dr. Brian Harlow, is a dedicated, multigenerational group of singers who sing a wide-ranging repertoire of traditional choral music ranging from the Renaissance to the present day, American spirituals, and Anglican and Gregorian chant. Adult section leaders and high school choral scholars provide vocal leadership and receive a stipend. If you are a high school student and would like to audition to be a choral scholar, please contact Brian Harlow at brianprestonharlow@gmail.com. The members of this group enjoy working hard and striving for a very high standard of performance, occasionally joining with other local choirs to present special music. New members are always welcome, and should have basic music-reading skills. The Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:30-9pm.
