The Reverend Kent Walley comes to us from St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he has been Associate Rector for the past eight years. Kent brings to St. Luke's Gladstone his gifts of leadership, preaching , teaching, spiritual development and church formation. Among the ministries in which he has a special interest and experience are those of Christian education, youth work, small groups, pastoral care, and music. He emphasizes collaboration and raising up and equipping lay leaders.

Kent is a native of Pennsylvania and his wife, Joy, a Michigan native. Both are graduates of the University of Michigan and are passionate Wolverines fans along with their two sons. Kent received his M.Div. from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and is in the process of completing a Doctorate of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary. In the years before he entered seminary, he owned a computer consulting business, while at the same time serving as a campus staff member for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, a national student ministry. For recreation, Kent enjoys golf, tennis, trombone, piano and trumpet.
