Worship at 9:15
Worship at 9:15
Faith is nurtured through the experience of worship: gathering regularly for Common Prayer to receive the Word of God and to celebrate the Sacraments. Through worship we become familiar with the stories of the Bible and we learn the prayers, hymns, and creeds of the Church. Most importantly, we make time to give God thanks and praise. These programs begin at 9:15 on Sunday mornings. Children join parents in church during the Peace for Holy Communion.

Confirmation: 8th Grade
The Confirmation Class meets on Sunday mornings to develop an understanding of the importance of regular worship, to delve into the story of Jesus and its challenge for their lives, to discuss and deepen their understanding of the Church and their role as members, and to write their own creed or statement of belief. Each confirmand is supported through the year by an adult mentor.

Children’s Worship (ages 4 through 7) We love young children!
During the beginning of our 9:15 service, children ages four through seven congregate in a sunlit classroom for our Children’s Worship Service. We follow the “Godly Play” format developed by Sonja Stewart and Jerome Berryman which introduces young children to the wonders of worship. The approach involves activities in which children use all their senses to experience God in biblical stories, parables and worship through art, storytelling, songs and signing.
We seek to create an environment where children can meet and worship God in a setting that is comfortable to them. Activities are developed around the order of worship: assemble in God's name; proclaim God's Word; give thanks to God; go in God's name. The lessons are based on parables, selected passages from the Old and New Testaments, and stories that are part of the liturgical year.
On the first Sunday of each month, we join the older children (ages 8 through 12) for the Youth in Worship Eucharist in Greene Hall, led by one of our rectors. During these services, young children have the opportunity to see up close how the celebrant prepares the Eucharist, while the meaning of each part of the preparation is explained to them.
We hope to see you and your children soon!

Youth in Worship (ages 7+)
Our older children and youth participate in a worship service adapted to their needs and led by our Youth Music/Worship Leader. The children take active roles in leading worship, reflect on the readings and learn about the various elements of the liturgy. Children join their parents in church for Holy Communion.

Youth Choir (grade 2 and above)
Children who join our choir experience and learn the great music of the church under the direction of our Youth Music/Worship Leader. The Youth Choir meets on Fridays from 6-6:45 p.m.
