(Presenter: Richard Somerset-Ward) will examine two different sorts of prayer – the prayers we pray together in church and the prayers we pray in private. Do they have equal value? Is one more powerful than the other? In particular, he examines one way that Christians have prayed for more than 1800 years – a way that is known by its Latin name, lectio divina, divine reading. Join us in Greene Hall at 6:30 PM for potluck supper and Richard’s talk, followed by small group discussions at your table.
