We are happy to announce that in-person Children’s Ministry will be available this Sunday. We hope to take advantage of the fall weather and meet outside, properly social distancing and masks worn at all times. Sign-up will be limited to 10 children ages 6 and older. Send an email to parish@stlukesgladstone.org. if you plan on having your child attend. A COVID screening assessment will be sent to you via email and needs to be brought to church. Children should not attend if feeling ill.
Below outlines the safety protocol which will be followed.
- Children’s attendance will require the completion of St. Luke’s COVID screening assessment to be brought that day.
- Children will exit Sanctuary through the Tower Room where teachers will ensure hand sanitation and proper placement of masks to be maintained throughout lesson.
- 2 groups will be formed based on age, and weather permitting, lessons will be conducted outdoors in Anne’s Garden and side lawn. Appropriate social distancing will be enforced.
- Prior to returning to Sanctuary, child’s hands will be sanitized.
- Children will line up, adhering to proper distancing, and following the determined exit strategy.
- Children will return to family through the front door of sanctuary. Once returned to their parent, a child will not leave sanctuary unless accompanied by parent.
- Seats will be properly distanced and sanitized prior and after children’s attendance.
- Materials will be limited to only handouts related to the lesson, which will be pre-printed. No Bible’s or craft materials will be distributed.
- Bathrooms will not be available until child returns to parent.
If the weather does not cooperate, we will NOT be meeting but will reschedule to the following Sunday, October 11th.
